This alloy carbide is hard, giving high-chromium cast iron excellent abrasion resistance. On the other hand, during the solidification process, the M7C3 type carbide is isolated in a rod shape, which improves the toughness of high-chromium cast iron to a certain extent, and has good resistance to high temperature and corrosion.
